Castillo de Tabernas Oil
At Castillo de Tabernas we produce different types of olive oil:
- Green Olive del Desierto, Coupage from green olives, 75% Picual oil, 25% Arbequina oil. Spicy and bitter, very balanced.
- Picual del Desierto, more spicy and bitter.
- Arbequina from the Desert, softer and sweeter
With a fruity typical of the surroundings, next to the Tabernas Desert. We enjoy a special Mediterranean microclimate, surrounded by protected natural areas. It is also the region with the most hours of sunshine per year in Europe!
Early harvest, which gives us a long fruity aftertaste, very pleasant and fresh. On the nose, it shows its personality with fruity olives of medium maturity, notes of freshly cut grass, chlorophyll, artichoke and banana.
It is ideal in raw or grilled vegetable salads, gazpachos, salmorejos and all kinds of vegan dishes. It also goes perfectly with baked, cooked or smoked fish, red or white meat, ham and carpaccios.
Enhances the flavors in cheeses of any kind, particularly those with a strong flavor, rice dishes and risottos, or with simple pasta with garlic, and of course, on toast with natural tomato or honey.

Arriving at the town of Tabernas, you can see this Arab castle, remains of the Mudejar culture.
You can see a wall that was the facade of the castle and half a keep. Best of all, are the views, truly magnificent, and thanks to the spotlights on the ground, at night it is something spectacular!
