Extra virgin olive oil Pago de Valdecuevas
Grown at 850 meters of altitude, where the oil mill is located in the very center of our plantation. It is an olive grove of 150 hectares where arbequina, manzanilla cacereña and picual varieties grow. Due to this altitude, our crops support, and enjoy, significant temperature variations between day and night.
This aspect favors the aromatic quality of our fruits, providing special nuances to the extracted oil. In addition, we apply modern cultivation techniques, being very demanding in their handling, but always respecting the natural environment.
Valdecuevas oil
100% Arbequino olive trees
EVOO cold extracted from Arbequina olive trees grown in the Pago, and only from green olives at the beginning of the harvest. These olives are processed in their optimal organoleptic state, only by mechanical procedures, to obtain an extraordinary Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
The peculiar conditions of the Pago mean that the oil has an index of oleic acid and tocopherols (vitamin E) higher than the average of this variety. In addition, Pago de Valdecuevas is characterized by its aromatic intensity of vegetable notes, green leaves and fig trees, and hints of apple.
It has a wide and complex mouth, where a slight bitterness and a very balanced finish can be appreciated. Also mention that it is ideal for dressings and raw consumption, in pastries and chocolates. Therefore, it is key to our Mediterranean Diet.
