Castillo de Canena, olive-growing history since 1780, a company that takes its name from the family castle that stands on the hill in the municipality of Canena (Jaén). Our oil mill and olive groves are located in the rich environment of the Guadalquivir Valley, near Úbeda and Baeza, World Heritage cities.

Olive oil has been the protagonist of our culture and economy for 3000 years. Our olive groves make up a beautiful family-irrigated farm, from which the olives come from which we extract the highest quality extra virgin oil from classic varieties such as Picual, Arbequina and Royal.
One of the keys to the excellence of our oils is harvesting the olives at the optimum time of maturation. The mechanically harvested olives are transferred to the mill in less than 3 hours for cold grinding (below 22ºC) using modern machinery.

The early harvest of the olives produces very low fat contents. On the other hand, the fruity of the extracted oils are more intense, thus their density of polyphenols and oleic acid.
