Extravagance Oil

The more “Extra Virgin” the more likely the taste is better, although to get the label “Extra Virgin” it is legally enough that the oil is below 0.8º acidity. Remember that acidity really only indicates the state of “degradation” or “aging” in which the oil is. The more acidic the worse.

And it is logical that the taste also follows the same rule, although in reality the taste depends on many other criteria. Be careful, it is important to buy our Extra Virgin olive oil in specialized stores, either on the Internet or on the street.

If you buy it in a shelf, where it may have been exposed to light for weeks, rest assured that the flavor will no longer be the same as when it was bottled. Even the acidity will probably have increased and may not even be “Extra Virgin” anymore.

Indeed, once it has passed the 0.8º mark, it is already considered “Virgin” or “olive oil” simply. Also check that the bottles are opaque, and of course with well-detailed labels, origin, grinding date, variety of olive and expiration date, among other data.
