Aceite Oleo Almanzora
Oleo Almanzora is a company founded by José Sánchez Parra, a passionate advocate of Extra Virgin Olive Oil. He comes from a family with a long tradition of olive growers who have learned to adapt to new, modern cultivation systems. These are environmentally friendly processes, but they ensure the highest quality of extra virgin olive oil.
The mill possesses an olive grove with more than 25,000 olive trees of the Arbequina variety. The company’s main activity is transforming olives into Gourmet Olive Oil, offering their consumers a true Premium olive juice.
A Polyphenol Bomb
We care for and control the production processes from the olive tree to packaging and storage. This way, we ensure that the final consumer receives the highest quality olive oil, with its aromas and flavors intact.
We harvest the olives as early as October, using only mechanical means to avoid damaging the fruit. Therefore, our acidity level is very low, at 0.1º. Subsequently, we quickly transport them to the mill and cold-press them. In this way, we prevent the microcomponents, polyphenols, and other antioxidants from volatilizing. We use stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures for storage.
Oleo Almanzora Packaging
Finally, we package it in dark bottles to minimize the impact of light on the oil. Following this path, Oleo Almanzora continues to innovate and recently launched two presentations of Extra Virgin Olive Oil Caviar Pearls.
The Mill
We take the production of very high-quality olive juice very seriously. The secret, in reality, is that there are no secrets—just work, work, and more work. We take care of our olive trees throughout the year, ensuring that the olives develop healthily.
Harvesting is also an important moment. We try to carry it out as early as possible, in October, when the olives are still green.
This means we will get less oil due to the logical difficulty of pressing olives that are not yet ripe. On the other hand, the juice we extract is very green, with all its polyphenols and antioxidants present.
