Additional Information

Bardomus Olive Oil

Bardomus It offers five extra virgin olive oils from unique varieties, including a signature blend. Produced by the Barchi Casali family since 1989, the olive mill enjoys an exceptional microclimate by the Mediterranean, which allows for the early maturation and harvest in October.

  • Arbequina: Smooth, fluid and fragrant, with fruity notes over the bitter and spicy.
  • Borriolenca: A rustic variety from Castellón that is in decline, highly appreciated for its peculiar flavor.
  • Canetera: Intense, elegant and very stable to oxidation, with an intense bitterness and a sophisticated spiciness.
  • Assembly: A blend of Arbequina, Borriolenca, and Canetera olives, resulting in a balanced, slightly bitter, and peppery extra virgin olive oil. Its unique quality stems from its location and early harvest.

"I had the pleasure of attending a Bardomus olive oil tasting, and it was a truly exceptional experience. During the tasting, I was able to sample the exquisite varieties of Picual, Canetera, Borriolenca, and Arbequina, and I was amazed by the distinct flavors and aromas that each one offered."

It was a tour of the entire estate in the company of Fernando, an excellent host who gave us a detailed overview of the production of these oils. His knowledge and passion for the artisanal and organic olive oil production process was reflected in every word he spoke, making the experience even more enriching.

Every step of the tour allowed us to appreciate the dedication and care put into each stage of production. From the cultivation of the olive trees to the careful selection and extraction of the olives, I was impressed by Bardomus' commitment to quality and sustainability.

But the highlight was undoubtedly the olive oil tasting. Each variety had its own distinctive characteristics: Picual with its robust flavor and herbaceous notes, Canetera with its smoothness and light hint of ripe fruit, Birriolenca with its balance of bitterness and sweetness, and Arbequina with its smoothness and delicacy. Each one left a lasting impression on my palate.

I would highly recommend a visit to the Bardomus estate for anyone who loves good olive oil. Not only will you enjoy an exceptional tasting, but you'll also have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of artisanal and organic production. An experience not to be missed!

I hope this review captures the essence of tasting Bardomus olive oils and reflects your experience. Enjoy your tastings and the wonderful world of olive oil!
